More model informationThe doorway in the south wall of Stonecarthy Church. Carrigan (1905) dates the south wall to centuries before the Norman invasion. The church must have had a more impressive western doorway, judging from the beautifully carved sandstone door jamb fragments re-built into the walls (mostly west wall) and scattered around the church. Carrigan counted 12 of them, I didn’t count them at all.
