The 1987 Corvette Callaway was a factory-option, twin-turbocharged version of the C4 Corvette, developed through a partnership between Chevrolet and Connecticut-based tuner Callaway Cars. Designated as RPO B2K, it marked the first time an aftermarket performance package was offered directly through Chevrolet dealers and carried a full factory warranty. Powered by a 5.7-liter V8 fitted with twin turbochargers, the Callaway Corvette produced 345 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque making it one of the fastest production cars of its era, capable of 0–60 mph in under five seconds and a top speed exceeding 170 mph. With subtle exterior changes and a focus on raw performance, the 1987 Callaway Corvette stood out as a bold experiment in blending American muscle with European-style turbo engineering.
