Iron pendant in the shape of a gong from the nineteenth site of Cana-Gbenganmey, Bénin.

This artifact was excavated legally by the Abomey Plateau Archaeological Project, an international research team operating under the auspices of the Direction du Patrimoine Culturel du Bénin. The artifact was exported to the Anthropology Laboratories at UC Santa Cruz with the authorization of the DPC for scientific analysis, and will be returned to Bénin when analysis is complete.
