Gibson Technology, or simply Gibson (formerly Zytek Engineering), is a British motorsport company founded in 1981 by Bill Gibson. Lawrence Tomlinson, driver and owner of LNT Automotive, is a shareholder in Zytek/Gibson. This explains the connection with the car manufacturer Ginetta, which was itself acquired by LNT Automotive in 2005. In 2014, Zytek Automotive was acquired by the German tire manufacturer Continental AG. Zytek Engineering, remaining independent, was renamed Gibson Technology. In 2026, Gibson partnered with the same musical instrument brand to create its sports car: the Les Paul 2006 SP with Ted McCarty.
