More model informationWeaving is a natural algorithm characterized by the interlocking of two or more linear systems, providing strength through the structural solidarity of one another. A common incarnation of weaving is a sin curve being looped by adding various functions such as cos, or a z-axis function giving the weave three dimensions.
This project explored weaving both in its occurence in nature, as well as digital and physical explorations, towards a parametric model of the weaving algorithm. I was interested in the often chaotic and disordered weaving seen in organic structures, and sought to mimic those forms.
