This model of a grain of sugar is designed to help visually impaired participants understand the concept of magnification. It is part of a wider project called “Make it Visible” which can be used in conjunction with Museum in a Box (https://museuminabox.org/) to allow visually impaired people to explore tactile objects that teach them about natural history. It should be used in conjunction with the accompanying tactile label in this collection.
