In der Artilleriehalle in Wien steht die 1724 vom kaiserlich-königlichen Stuckgießer Anton Zechenter in Budapest gegossene Geschützkanone. Diese 24 Pfund schwere, 359cm lange Halbe Kartaune mit 15cm Kaliber wurde unter Kaiser Karl VI. für den Grafen Wirich Philip Lorenz von Daun produziert. Anton Zechenter ist der Sohn des Wiener Glockengießers Franz Zechenter. Er übernahm ca. 1723 die Schloßgießerei in Budapest wo er viele Glocken wie auch die der Mathias Kirche goss.

ENGLISH The cannon cast in 1724 by imperial-royal gun founder Anton Zechenter in Budapest stands in the artillery hall in Vienna. This 24lb, 359cm long, 15cm caliber “Half Kartaune” was built under Emperor Charles VI. produced for Count Wirich Philip Lorenz von Daun. Anton Zechenter is the son of the Viennese bell caster Franz Zechenter. He took over the Foundry in the castle of Budapest around 1723, where he cast a lot of bells like one in the Mathias Church.
