The terminal velocity manifold in extended phase space for a airfoil with the lift and drag characteristics of a flying snake, Chrysopelea paradisi, from [1]. The blue points along the manifold represent stable node equilibrium points, the purple points represent stable foci, and the red points represent saddle equilibria. Blue and red values along the manifold show the magnitude of acceleration.
