Antlers of a roe deer (mountain goat) with a skull attached to a black wooden base in the form of a diamond are one of the most common types of hunting trophies. Below is the inscription: “J. S. KLIMIEC 8.VIII.1937”. A type of hunting trophy popular in interwar Poland used to decorate homes. The owners tried to demonstrate skill and courage by signing the trophy with their surname and the hunt date. They were also used as gifts.
