This model is a concept made to represent a space filled with water that one can relax in. This first year project was to design a stereotomic form and it’s ground keeping in mind material, human experience, as well as atmosphere. I chose to incorporate water in my model and hence designed a form that is submerged within another form full of water. I then decided to continue the pattern of nesting into my ground as well. I chose to use glass in order to create an invisible feel that lets people feel as if they are floating in space. As a person moves up, the ground space is lesser, signifying increasing solitude and focus due to lesser interaction with the outside world. All these elements combined guarantee a more focused, deliberate human experience in the space. This model was initially designed on rhino and then modeled by hand, and then retouched on with rhino and uploaded to sketchfab.
