More model information

This innovative piece of marketing was created by Julie Flowers and Rosalind Howell for their performance Grill…A Piece of Toast at the National Review of Live Art 1994. The item has raised some interesting conservation issues for the University of Bristol Theatre Collection, as normally food is not permitted near archives! The toast has been kept sealed and isolated, and stored in a controlled environment to aid preservation, but not surprisingly remains very fragile, and has a large crack. This 3D digital surrogate helps us to preserve the original, lessening the need for physical access to the item.
