More model informationA morph target animation is where you use multiple copies of the same object to move certain aspects of that model around to create new shapes. You then blend the copies together and you are able to scale back and forth between the different features of the copies. It blends the vertices of each different copy to transition between them. It can be used to transition between different facial expressions on a character. A skeletal animation however, is by creating connecting bones that when moved, the parts of the object move with them. It is most often used to animate things with joints as the bones connect at a supposed joint in the model.
