Abdul-Karim Merchant House - Al-Jazirah Al-Hamra3D ModelNoAI
The Merchant Abdul-karim - Located at the end of the souq (Market) at Al-Jazirat Al-Hamra in the emirate of Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE. The location suggests mercantile associations for the house. AbdulKarim was a merchant of Iranian descent who was adopted into Al Za’ab tribe. As with Omran’s house, the house utilizes a passive cooling structure, the wind tower openings to all 4 directions, allowing residents to use the house even during the height of summer. This is critical as the family would have had to be present during the summer pearling season for business purposes (Hawker 8).
This 3D model was made using 468 images captured with a drone, and processed and cleaned in Reality Capture.
