The Mana Well

Delicately tapping into the magical ley lines, a public access point can be established safely resulting in an active mana well.

Mana wells can be used to access low level magical energies in order to cast simple spells, recharge wands, and facilitate short-range teleportation.

One drawback in opening a small incision in a magic artery however, is the inevitable attraction of Leymoths to the site. In small numbers these mana-consuming pests pose little risk - however if a swarm should converge on the well it can be rendered innert closing a magical source forever.
