This is a human heart that was donated for research. This model represents the tissue model of Heart0096 from a 54 year old male with a history of hypertension, semilunar valve regurgitation, smoking, and stroke. The left and right atria shown in this model are an accurate representation for an approximately normal heart.

We partner with LifeSource to receive donated organs deemed not viable for transplant and the University of Minnesota Anatomy Bequest Program to work with organs that were donated for Medical Education and Research.
