More model informationIn the Sierra del Montsec, in the south of the Pyrenees, there is a rare mineral. This is blue AERINITE (Aerinite (Ca4(Al,Fe,Mg)10Si12O35(OH)12CO3·12H2O) is a bluish-purple inosilicate mineral). This mineral has a very peculiar history, with which the balu of the majority of Romanesque mural paintings in the Catalan Pyrenees was painted, such as the wonderful apse of Sant Climent de Taüll. I have climbed to these mountains to find it and to make an experience with medieval materials and techniques.
