More model informationA remarkably well-preserved North African terracotta oil lamp, ca. 5th century AD, discovered in 2017 within the upper level of a fill layer inside one of the villa’s cryptoporticoes. Within the discus, surrounded by a braided border, is the bust of a woman, facing left. The shoulder is framed by a motif of inscribed circles, squares, and palmettes. The nozzle is charred from use.
