These are African Wild Dogs located in the California Academy of Sciences. This endangered species is highly respected by the San Bush people and the ancient Egyptian culture of the past. This animal is a very social animal and hunts together in packs. They are hypercarnivorous which means at least 70% of their diet is meat. Other names are Cape Hunting Dog or African Painted Dog.
