More model informationThis chambered cairn has been much modified by the building of several shieling huts within and around the structure. It is these bothan airigh which have given the name - Airigh na h-Aon Oidhche - the Shieling of the One Night. It was a name given to tie it into a traditional morality tale in the post-mediaeval period.
The original cairn dates back to the Neoithic period.
As usual, the range pole is aligned North-South with red to North - placed to the west of the cairn, north of the prominent ruined shieling hut. (left in opening view)
