More model informationMcCombs 9 PDR, this cannon was at the battle and is on loan from Red McCombs, a San Antonio philanthropist. It was on display at the Briscoe Western Art Museum, and was recently transferred to The Alamo for display. Possibly English, made in the mid-1700’s. This cannon is another one of the five guns recovered from a wreck in Matagorda Bay (Ellen Tooker), in 1817, that originally came from New York.
