More model informationThis vase is called an Albarella, named after the Italian island town of the same name. It is decorated various shield designs round the middle. It was found during excavations at Woolen Hall, Southampton. (SOU 107). The use of copper as part of the decoration suggests the object was produced in Spain.
The vase has been laser scanned as part of a collaborative project between Southampton Cultural Services and the Department of Archaeology at the University of Southampton.
