Ammonite fossil

A photogrammetry model of an ammonite fossil purchased from the Melbourne Museum.

Photographs were taken using a Nikon D5300 with a fixed 50mm lens and manual focus. 106 photographs in total were taken from two elevations, with the fossil flipped to photograph the underside, inside a Foldio lightbooth, with rotation automated using a Foldio360. Modelling was completed in Agisoft Metashape.
