Stick model of Amoxicillin. The atoms are colored according to the following Key: Nitrogen (Blue), Oxygen (Red), Carbon (Grey), Hydrogen (White), Sulfur (Yellow). Note there are two Amide functional groups present in the anitbiotic molecule. One of the Amides is present as part of a four-membered ring (beta-Lactam), while the other is a more traditional Amide.
