More model information

Photogrammetric 3D model of the destroyed An-225 Mriya from a drone video published on April 8th by Українська правда (Ukrajinska Prawda).

Mriya was the worlds largest plane (by length and mass) and finished construction in 1988 to support the Soviet Union’s Buran Space plane program. Around February 27, 2022 she was destroyed at Antonov Airport in Hostomel, Kyiv Oblast. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonov_An-225_Mriya

The 3D model was constructed in RealityCapture and touched up in Blender to fix areas that were badly reconstructed due to missing image coverage. In areas with bad (blurry) texture quality, the underlying geometry is likely to be inaccurate or manually touched up.

For transparency, the unmodified scan can be viewed here: https://bit.ly/3G6pRjs

Alternative 3D model that contains the full scene: https://skfb.ly/ouDXy

In case of doubt, please reference the original video, ground-based images or the unmodified scan.
