One of a series of eighteen corbels that carry the centre nave aisle roof beams. The corbel features an angel bearing a heraldic shield and is thought to date to the C15th rebuilding of the clerestory. During restoration in the 1970s the arms of Oriel College, Oxford was added (Ratcliffe 2012).
