More model informationThis mid-ninth century piece was discovered in St Mary Bishopshill Junior church, York, and is now on display in the Yorkshire Museum. The figures are well-sculpted and give a clear impression of what was being worn and carried on the streets of York 1,200 years ago, shortly before Eoforwic became Jorvik. Zooming in on the hand of the figure wearing a horn, is something being sold?
