More model informationThe 190 ft propeller Arctic was built in 1864. It was originally owned by the New York Central Railroad Company and ran from Buffalo and Cleveland to Lake Superior. In 1893 it foundered in a storm between Port Sanilac and Harbor Beach. It now lies in 130 ft of water with the hull relatively intact and a giant single expansion steam engine and boiler. The model was created from 2,802 50 and 30 megapixel RAW images shot from DPV’s by the dive team of Brian Bosveld and Andrew Goodman supported by Jon Connolly.
