Rocket-type weapon used during the Joseon Dynasty. During the late Goryeo period(1377-1390), Choi Mu-seon developed the ‘JuHwa,’ meaning ‘running fire,’ which was later improved in 1448 and became be changed the Sinkijeon. The record of Sinki-jeon in the “Byeonggi Doseol” of “Gukjo Orye Seorye” are the world’s oldest detailed records of rocket-type weapons before the 15th century. In particular, the Daeshingijeon is a rocket-type weapon utilizing paper-made gunpowder case, larger than the 6-pounder rocket created by William Congreve of England in 1805, and it is the world’s largest paper-tube rocket weapon.
