More model informationA photogrammetric model of an artificial reef, situated off the east coast of Lismore Island, at a depth of 15 m.
The reef consists of approximately 4000 cavity concrete blocks, deployed as part of a wider initiative to create a more complex habitat for benthic organisms. This reef is one of 30 deployed in the region (5 groups of 6 individual reefs), all constructed between 2001 and 2006 with an aim to facilitate scientific research into the interaction between man-made structures and the natural environment.
