Part of the base of a small temple to the Dioscuri (Castor + Pollux) that was located in Assisi’s Roman forum. The Assisi Foro romano e collezione archeologica museum provided this translation of the inscription:
Galeo Tettienus Pardalas and Tettiena Galene built at their own expense a tetrastyle and they also gave as a gift to the citizens of Assisi the statues of Castor and Pollux, and for the inauguration they lavished sums of money on the individual decurions (five denari), on the seviri (three denari), on the people (one and a half denarius). Site given with the authorization of the senate.
The structure and inscription date to the first half of the 1st c. A.D.
