A fictional research submarine closely resembling the design used in the film ‘The Abyss’. Significant changes include a re-thought interior, the replacement of the large rear turbine with passenger seating, additional turbines attached to the outer hull and a different searchlight configuration. I must give credit to Valentin Winkelmann for his model of the submarine from The Abyss as I found myself taking a lot of topology and texturing inspiration from his work, I think the topology of the front viewports of both our models are either identical or very similar but hopefully he doesn’t mind. Everything has been modelled from scratch and textures have either been procedurally generated in Blender or downloaded from PolyHaven.com under their CC0 licence. Feel free to use this model in any way you like, I only ask to be credited somewhere.
