More model informationRdRp (SARS-CoV-2) and Remdesivir (F86)
SARS-CoV-2 is a positive stranded RNA virus whose infectious severity is highly driven by its ability to mass replicate. This is achieved by its RNA dependent RNA Polymerase (RdRp). RdRp is an elongation enzyme involved in RNA transcription via forming RNA sugar-phosphate backbones and building the RNA strand. Remdesivir is an antiviral drug that acts specifically on viral RdRp and thus prevents chain elongation. In this model we explore the interaction between remdesivir and RdRp.
