Description

9M133 Kornet is a Russian man-portable anti-tank guided missile system featuring tripod-mounted launcher with integrated thermal sight and laser beam-riding guidance. This configuration incorporates 9P163-1 tripod launcher with 1PN79-1 thermal sight and 1PN45-1 guidance device, semi-automatic command to line-of-sight laser guidance system, and 9M133 missile with tandem HEAT warhead capable of penetrating over 1,200mm rolled homogeneous armor behind explosive reactive armor. The system features two-person crew operation, 5,500-meter maximum effective range, and 27-kilogram missile weight with precision engagement capabilities against main battle tanks, fortifications, and armored vehicles requiring continuous laser designation throughout flight.
