The Wind in the Willows was a 1983 film by Cosgrove Hall Films, animating Kenneth Grahame’s children’s classic. Rosemary Anne Sisson adapted the script from the original book. The film was successful, and led to a television series which aired on Thames Television between 1984-1990.

Badger, the wise elderly friend of Toad, Ratty and Mole was voiced by Sir Michael Hordern in the film. The original head was sculpted by Bridget Appleby and was cast in foam latex by a team of model-makers led by Peter Saunders.
