Бальное платье XIX века.Костюм и актриса: Колесникова Наталья, Клуб исторического бального танца “Виват”. The Patriotic War of 1812 made a big mark on Russian dance culture. The popular dance of the era was the mazurka. It became popular at the ballrooms and salons of Europe in the 19th century, particularly through the notable works by Frédéric Chopin. The mazurka was the culmination of the ball. The lady in the mazurka shuffled smoothly and gracefully on the parquet, and her partner’s movements resembled the actions of an officer in a battle. A light jump on his right leg symbolized how he jumped on a horse, jumps with a change of legs - jumps during a fight, a partner hobbling in a dance – the movement of a wounded person in a battle. Ball dress in fashion of 1812, double: turquoise silk bottom, ecru tulle is a top cover. The dress is decorated with ecru lace and ribbons and pearl beads.
