More model informationA highly eroded surface that may originally had more carvings upon it. There is a large bowl shaped depression at the top of the outcrop with a central cup-like mark, which is probably where a quern stone has been extracted. There are also a couple of miniature quern stone rough-outs on the smoother surface just beneath the moss covering.
A plan is now in the pipeline for a full excavation of the site, which it is hoped will shed more light on its chronology and, hopefully, reveal even of these more fascinating rock surfaces.
