Stone found within a dense cluster of other carvings north of Eel Hill on Barningham Moor, County Durham.
It sits just east of Barningham Moor 108 and north of a small prehistoric enclosure. Referenced 38 in Beckensall & Laurie’s 1998 publication ‘Prehistoric Rock Art of County Durham, Swaledale and Wensleydale’, this carving was added to ERA by NADRAP as ‘Barningham Moor 109’ in 2008. The team recorded:
“This stone has two possible cups 0.2m apart. Most of stone is turf covered.”
