More model informationThe so-called “dolmen” of Matarrubilla, located in Valencina de la Concepcion (Seville), is a Copper Age tholos-type funerary monument with a 29 m long corridor and a 2.72 m wide and 2 m high chamber. The basin or altar found in the chamber is made of allochtonous stone. It measures 1.73 x 1.25 m and occupies most of the space in the chamber. The monument was excavated in 1917 and several items were found in the corridor (e.g. golden sheets, an elephant tusk, ivory beads).
