The Dutch M1871 Beaumont is a bolt-action rifle used by the Armed forces of the Netherlands from 1871 to 1895. It was designed by the Belgian engineer Edouard de Beaumont and produced in Maastricht, Netherlands. It was also used by the Royal Netherlands East Indies army during the colonial wars until the 19th century. The factory that built this weapon was also responsible for the production of other weapons, which were known for their reliability and quality.
