This an old bench on the NorthEast corner of Oregon State University Campus. You’re seeing the raw result of PhotoScan Standard (56 photos). It initially had huge gaps in shadow areas, so i made a second chunk with all the photos much brighter (and merged the 2). This added much more into the shadow areas, but … now it seems like the texture is messed up. I see weird white spots here and there (like on the top seam to the back), despite my rebuilding the mesh and then redoing the texture after the merge. huh.
This is low res mesh (high res is more like 6 million polys). I’m hoping to upload a retopologized version for reference (like 600 polys). but I have been having problems bridging edges in Mesh Mixer (often just errors out. And very hard to select just 2 faces), and applying transfer maps in Maya (i made a small shell using quad draw, but Maya hangs when applying transfer maps.&it’s way off when i reimport back into Photoscan to get texture).
might be a few weeks before I can get back to this.
