Standing stone in a possible ring cairn on Bewick Moor, SE of Chillingham, Northumberland.
Referenced on the Beckensall Archive (BA) as ‘Bewick Moor North B’, the record was added to ERA by NADRAP in 2008. The team describe:
“An upright standing stone on the edge of a cairn which has been robbed of stones. The east face is bare, but for a possible chevron motif, at the bottom edge near the ground.”
The Beckensall Archive appears to record another marked stone featuring a cup and ring within the cairn, but this couldn’t be located during NADRAP surveys.
