Description:This black-figure Attic Skypho is decorated with Dionysiac scenes of each side. In both scenes Dionysus is pictured facing back towards his followers (thiasus), leading with a grape vine in hand. The skypho is decorated with two bands of icy ornament below the rim, and a tongue pattern border on the bottom of the body. Ivy ornamentation and borders are often associated with Dionysiac scenes.
