Boulder with probable prehistoric carvings found on private farmland N of Black Pots Farm, Doubler Stones Allotment, Rombalds Moor, West Yorkshire.
This low lying boulder is referenced IAG74 in Boughey & Vickerman’s 2003 publication ‘Prehistoric Rock Art of the West Riding’. The CSI: Rombalds Moor Project referenced the stone ‘Black Pots 01’ on ERA in 2013, describing:
‘…There is one probable cup 7cm wide, N of the centre, with 2 possible shallow cups towards the SE side. A natural crack occurs at the E end.’
