Blakehope Roman fort is contained within a larger Roman temporary camp. It is situated 3 miles SE of High Rochester fort in Northumberland. Dere street cuts through the earlier camp indication it is earlier than the road. Medieval ploughing has caused significant damage to the outer marching camp.
