More model information

Trench excavated in Freren Mead in July - August 2024 to the south of the River Rother as part of Bodiam100 - a partnership project with National Trust, Archaeology South-East and the Institute of Archaeology, London.

Geophysical survey in this area by the Hasting Area Archaeological Research Group and the Wealden Archaeology Group indicated potential archaeological features in this area. This model shows the trench part-way through excavation. Further investigation in the west of the trench (to the top of the model in overview) revealed a large area of waterlogged timber - it is likely these remains are of prehistoric date (awaiting scientific dating).

723 photos taken in August 2024 with a Sony a7R III and processed in Reality Capture by David Fletcher.
