Tenth-century hogback grave marker discovered during rebuilding work in St Thomas’ Church, Brompton-in-Allertonshire, North Yorkshire.
It is carved from the same sandstone as other pieces from Brompton, but is much darker, possibly due to fire damage.
At the time of writing, this hogback is cemented in place with one long side very near a wall and the opposite side close to another hogback. Consequently there are some dodgy bits of Blender D.I.Y. in the photogrammetric model in the lower left side of face C.
