More model informationOne of a pair of cast bronze bull figurines, probably rein guides for a horse drawn vehicle. Found at Bulberry Camp in Dorset in the 19th century, initially nailed to a local door, until recovered by an antiquarian. One of the pair is in Dorchester museum and art gallery. This one is kindly on loan, along with part of the anchor chain from the same location, from Dorchester museum and art gallery, to Beaminster Museum.
