Prehistoric carved rock found on Burley Moor, Rombalds Moor, West Yorkshire.
Originally identified by Paul Bowers, this stone was referenced ‘Burley Moor 04’ by the CSI: Rombalds Moor team and added to ERA in 2013. Keith Boughey subsequently referenced the rock IAG372a on his regional archive.
Motifs consist of four possible cups of varying shape and size. Two cups may have been placed on natural elements of the stone surface to give the impression of rings, one of which also looks to be set fairly centrally within a large sub-rectangular ‘feature’. It isn’t clear from the model or photography whether this ‘feature’ is carved or natural.
