More model information

I was really inspired to create this 3D piece after discovering Jenny Bozek’s ArtStation page. Over the past year, I’ve been diving deeper into hand-painting, and this concept had the perfect mix of colors, design, and imagination that I was looking for to take on a hand-painting project.

The 3D modeling itself wasn’t too difficult its pretty low poly and captures the shape, but getting the opacity and emission map to work together smoothly took some time investing in. I wanted to make sure the color transitions were seamless, and the glow really stood out.

It was pretty hands on in Photoshop for this concept, fine-tuning the albedo map to get those crisp lines and smooth transitions. It was time consuming, but hey, some Supernatural episodes on the side definitely helped!

All in all, I’m really happy with how this turned out and I’m excited to bring more of Jenny Bozek’s concepts to life in the future.
