3D model of Cairn T, Loughcrew, County Meath, Ireland (SMR No. ME015-012004-). Cairn T is a passage tomb covered by a cairn, which sits at the summit of Slieve na Caillighe, the Hag’s Mountain. The cairn is composed mostly of stone and it has an exterior revetment of kerbstones. It is surrounded by six smaller tombs. The passage tomb is a cruciform chamber, enclosed in a cairn which is 35m in diameter. The entrance to the passage tomb faces east and at the equinoxes the rising sun illuminates some of the decorated stones in the interior.

The original object was recorded using the Faro 3D terrestrial laser scanner and processed using Faro Scene, Geomagic, and 3DS Max.

Additional detailed documentation of several decorated stone was carried out using an Artec handheld structured light scanner can be found within the Loughcrew collection.
